A new architectural-level fault simulation using propagation prediction of grouped fault-effects
نویسندگان
چکیده
A new technique is proposed to handle fault simulation at the architectural level. The technique bypasses the need for complete gate-level structure and e ciently uses the architectural information. Symbolic data representing groups of stuck-at faults, known as fault e ects, are propagated across the circuit with intelligent propagation prediction. Fault e ects may combine and form new groups in the process. Automated behavioral simulation using only three data types is used to propagate fault e ects at the architectural level by propagation prediction; no additional high-level constraints or precomputation of faulty behavior are needed for simulation. Although not a fully deterministic algorithm, the results of ALFSIM, Architectural-Level Fault SIMulation, show high accuracy when compared with the gate-level fault simulation.

متن کاملArchitectural-Level Fault Simulation Using Symbolic Data
Architectural-level circuit information has been utilized in hierarchical test generation and design for testability in recent years. Analysis at a high level makes a complete gate-level description of the circuit under test unnecessary. In this paper, we propose a new fault simulation technique which uses architectural-level information. This approach allows us to simulate stuck-at faults in s...
متن کاملStochastic Finite Fault Modeling for the 16 September 1978 Tabas, Iran, Earthquake
The main objective of this study is estimating acceleration time history of 16 September 1978 Tabas earthquake incorporating the seismological/geological source-path and site model parameters by using finite-fault simulation approach. The method generalizes the stochastic ground-motion simulation technique, developed for point sources, to the case of finite faults. It subdivides the fault plane...
متن کاملDevelopment of a regional attenuation relationship for Alborz, Iran
New attenuation relationships for rock and soil in Alborz, have been developed in this study. When the quantity of usable ground-motion data is inadequate in the magnitude and distance ranges, development of an empirical prediction equation is deficient. Due to lack of data, the two well-known simulation techniques, point source and finite-fault models have been used to generate more than ten t...
متن کاملSeries Resonance Based Fault Current Limiter with Controlling The Point of Common Coupling Voltage
This paper proposes a novel Fault Current Limiter (FCL) for the application on distribution networks to control voltage sags at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC) during faults. This new FCL is based on series resonance including resonance transformer and series capacitor. So, by proper design of the series resonance LC tank, the fault current is limited to an acceptable level. The FCL operatio...
